As Chair of Innovation at McMillan Education, Kim embodies the firm’s commitment to both anticipating and contributing to changes in the field that prioritize a strong student-centered experience and impact how our counselors best serve students and their families in the college and school planning processes. Kim works closely with her counterparts chairing our school and college planning practices to ensure that all counselors have access to and are trained in the most critical technological and best practices resources designed to facilitate students’ successful navigation of the intricacies and complexities of finding their best fit educational environment. In close collaboration with members of the leadership team, Kim is devoted to working to create, enhance and develop the systems that continually better serve our families. Before joining McMillan Education, Kim guided students in their academic journeys as an educator, coach and administrator in schools and colleges for 25 years. Her unraveled knowledge of the athletic recruiting process for aspiring collegiate athletes makes her uniquely qualified to chair the Athletic Recruiting College Planning focus area of McMillan Education as a supervisor of our counselors who specialize in athletic recruiting and college planning. In addition to her leadership responsibilities, Kim continues to work directly with a small number of school and college counseling candidates representing a wide range of domestic and international students seeking educational opportunities in the US or abroad, from the student-athlete to the traditional candidate
