I believe that the college process is one of self-reflection. I provide individual guidance through the entire process to a limited number of students each year. We explore schools that are a good match in all aspects - academic, social, emotional, extracurricular, and financial. My students discover and apply to a range of schools where they will feel confident, be challenged, and thrive.

My greatest strength is communication with both students and parents. Our work together is collaborative, calm, and organized. This is an exciting journey as I help students identify their interests and highlight their strengths.

About Me

I graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Economics, and I served as an alumni interviewer for twenty years before becoming a college counselor. I earned a Certificate in College Counseling, with Distinction, from UCLA. I then worked at the Waring School in Beverly for two years with the Director of College Counseling, where I helped students complete their applications, guided both students and parents through the process, conducted mock interviews, and hosted college admissions representatives several times a week throughout the fall.

I became an independent counselor to provide more individual attention, guiding students through all aspects of the college admissions journey. I founded C3 Collaborative with two colleagues, where we each work with our own clients. We are part of a regional group of both independent and school-based counselors, sharing information and support, visiting colleges together, and sponsoring workshops for families on topics such as Paying for College and Transitioning to College. I am a member of IECA, the nation’s largest and most recognized organization of Independent Educational Consultants. I attend professional conferences each year and read extensively on matters of higher education.

I visit many colleges each year, where I speak to students, admissions officers, and faculty members to learn about the programs and culture of each school. Understanding the feeling of a college helps me guide students in their decisions.
