About Me
Joan Bress, founder of College Resource Associates, draws on more than twenty years as an educator, licensed independent clinical social worker, and parent to guide students toward the right educational opportunities. She encourages students to take ownership of their own college search, offering structure to keep them on track while helping them recognize the personal qualities they bring to the process.
Joan holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, Simmons College School of Social Work, and Boston University, and has served on the faculties of Boston University, Becker College, Northeastern, and Notre Dame Academy of Worcester. A specialist in adolescent development and family therapy, she's a Certified Educational Planner, a frequent contributor to national magazines, and teaches online College Counseling courses for UCLA, and is a member of NACAC and IECA.
