About Me

Dr. Joanne Swenson brings decades of rare experience as a professor, minister, mother, and mentor to college admissions, finding joy across both her academic and spiritual work in what she calls 'the transforming moment' — where deeper purpose and self-understanding emerge. Her students have been admitted to schools including Stanford, Cornell, Boston University, Villanova, and Tulane.

Dr. Swenson holds a B.A. from St. Olaf College and M.Div., Th.M., and Th.D. degrees from Harvard. A member of WACAC and NACAC certified in College Admissions Leadership, she's a vetted volunteer with nationally recognized programs serving under-resourced college applicants, and lives in Bend, Oregon with her husband.
