A Gunn High School alum turned Counseling Director, Yii-Shyun built her Istanbul practice with students headed to Columbia and Northwestern.

About Me

Yii-Shyun Lin began her career in 2009 at one of the Bay Area's most successful educational consulting firms, and after four years of teaching and college counseling — culminating as Counseling Director — she started her own firm in Istanbul, Turkey, where her students have gone on to Columbia, Brown, University of Chicago, Northwestern, and beyond.

A graduate of Gunn High School herself, Yii-Shyun understands the pressures local students face firsthand, and finds real fulfillment in helping students become sharper thinkers and writers as they refine their personal statements — building self-awareness, confidence, and a sense of purpose throughout the application season.
