Through her diverse analytical and marketing background, she is able to move a business from treating all their customers the same way to focusing their resources on the most profitable customer and prospect opportunities.
Most recently, as a Director in Citibank North America Retail Decision Management Team, she created the role, function and analytical methodologies of the analytical team which drives liability and marketplace business strategy and direction. She was instrumental in guiding the Retail bank through the economic crisis evaluating various bank acquisitions and now leads the newly formed Segment and Customer Strategy & Analytics team for the US Consumer Bank.
Her previous experience includes key leadership and business development positions at Publishers Clearing House, Chemical Bank, National Westminster Bank, and JP Morgan Chase. These leadership roles have included building teams, introducing new tools, developing segmentation strategies, financial analyses and generating key insights needed to drive business decisions.
About Me
Carmel Promisel is the founder of WriteSmart Advisors and the mother of college-age triplets who graduated from Pleasantville High School. After receiving her B.A. from Queens College in English Writing and her M.B.A. in Marketing Management from St. John's University, Carmel spent more than 30 years in marketing and analytical roles where she guided top-tier financial services firms in business strategies. Carmel continues to serve her community through coaching youth in Boy Scout Eagle Service Projects. She's an adjunct marketing professor at Pace University and a self-published author. Through her work and life experiences, Carmel has developed the analytical skills to help people identify their unique talents and abilities and match those abilities with schools who most value them. Her strength is coaching students of all academic levels in turning their thoughts into words and their words into authentic essays.
