About Me
Kathy Chenard, a member of HECA and SACAC, regularly visits college campuses and attends national and regional conferences to stay current on the college planning process. She holds a degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and a Graduate Certificate with Distinction in College Counseling from UCLA.
An Air Force veteran, Kathy's passion for mentoring students grew alongside raising her own three children (two college graduates, one currently in college) and years volunteering in their schools, community, and church. She and her husband Michael live in the Lake Norman area of Charlotte, NC, and she enjoys cooking, healthy eating, and being outdoors.
