About Me

Carolyn Krost brings over 20 years of experience in organizational management, program development, and fundraising (raising more than $1M annually), along with deep knowledge of educational trends at the secondary and higher education levels. As the number-two leader in launching a new independent high school, she built a research-focused program that led students to national and international recognition, including a $100K Siemens award, and highly selective college admissions.

Carolyn interviewed hundreds of independent school stakeholders to research her 2016 book, Engage! Setting the Course for Independent Secondary Schools in the 21st Century, which has served as a textbook at Johns Hopkins Graduate School of Education since 2015.
