A 26-year school counselor turned IECA associate, Shondra develops professional relationships with universities nationwide.

About Me

Shondra Carpenter founded Steele Street College Consulting in 2014 after recognizing the ongoing need for direction in college admissions, believing that finding the right fit — a school that truly becomes a student's home — is the most important factor in college success. She holds a BA in History & Spanish from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from UNLV, and an MA in School Counseling from the University of Phoenix, building on 26 years in high schools — first as a Spanish and Social Studies teacher, then as a counselor since 2002.

An associate member of IECA and active NACAC member, Shondra has served on Counselor Advisory Boards for several universities. She enjoys traveling (often to college campuses), yoga, and time with her husband and two college-aged children.
