About Me
Penny Klein has spent her entire career working with high school students. A graduate of Ohio Wesleyan, she taught English in rural Ohio and then in Zimbabwe as a Peace Corps Volunteer, before earning her Master's in Counseling from Ohio State and becoming a school counselor at Mt. Mansfield Union High School in Jericho, Vermont in 1995.
In 2009, Penny left that role to pursue her real passion — helping kids discover who they are and what college environment could help them grow and thrive. As one former student put it, 'Penny opened my eyes to my options and got me excited about my future.' She lives in Middlebury, Vermont with her husband Don and golden retriever Willow, surrounded by the flower gardens that reflect another lifelong passion.
