About Me
Karen Ryan, born and raised in New York City, is an alumna of Trinity School in Manhattan and earned her B.A. in Psychology with Honors from Wesleyan University. She went on to earn her J.D. from Columbia University Law School and practiced law at a major international firm before completing UC Irvine's Independent Educational Consultant Certificate Program and Columbia Teachers College's Advising Program.
A volunteer college consultant for ScholarMatch and a member of Yonkers Partners in Education, Karen is a strong advocate for equity in education, and travels across the country visiting colleges to build the firsthand knowledge that helps her create genuinely good matches between students and schools.
