About Me
I am a college admissions counselor and consultant with over a decade of experience in college and career advising, most recently serving as Dean of College & Career Counseling at an independent school. I am also the founder of the Burnett College & Career Advising Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to expanding college access, affordability, and postsecondary success for first-generation and underrepresented students.
In my role as Dean, I led comprehensive college counseling and alumni support programs, achieving a 100% college acceptance rate, multiple QuestBridge finalists and matches, and millions of dollars in merit- and need-based scholarship awards. My work blends strategic college advising with a strong equity lens, helping students navigate college selection, applications, essays, scholarships, and financial aid with clarity and confidence.
Through both my consulting practice and foundation work, I provide individualized support in college match and fit, application strategy, personal statements and supplemental essays, scholarship planning, and financial literacy. I help families understand timelines, costs, and long-term outcomes so students can make informed decisions while minimizing unnecessary student debt.
In addition to one-on-one advising, I partner with schools and community organizations to design college readiness programs, strengthen advising systems, and expand access-focused initiatives. My approach is holistic, data-informed, and student-centered—focused not only on college admission, but on persistence, completion, and long-term success.
