About Me

For years, I have enjoyed helping high school students achieve their admissions objectives. A proud graduate of Cornell University's School of Industrial Relations, I went on to earn my J.D. from New York University's School of Law. After practicing law for two decades, I was drawn to the field of college counseling. For many years, I helped students craft creative and compelling college essays and at the same time conducted alumni interviews for Cornell. I then went on to earn my Certification in College Counseling from the University of California-San Diego.



I am an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), a national organization whose members are vetted and held to the highest standards in education, training, ethics, and experience. I am also a Member of the New Jersey Association of College Admissions Counselors where I serve as Co-Editor of the ABCs of College Planning. I also belong to the Learning Disabilities Association of New Jersey, an organization whose resources are helpful to me when guiding students who have learning disabilities and anxiety.



When working with families, I bring all facets of my background to bear. In addition to expertise developed through working with families over the years, I regularly attend college information sessions so that I can bring you up-to-date information, make contacts with admissions officers, and identify admissions trends.
