About Me


Connie Millard is an independent college counselor located on Boston’s North Shore. She works with a small number of families to inform, help organize, and personalize the college admissions process.
Connie believes in a team approach, engaging both students and parents in a clear step-by-step process that can be both exciting and fun! She empowers her students to confidently take the lead in their college search, discovering numerous colleges that are a good academic, social, and financial fit. Connie helps her students frame their college search, beyond the ratings and rankings, by injecting perspective through personalized student assessment and research. From application to acceptance, Connie works closely with each student to ensure a successful outcome.

Connie Millard received her Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA. She holds a Masters Degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Michael’s College where she majored in political science. Prior to discovering her passion for college counseling, Connie had successful careers as both a freelance grant writer and project manager at a Boston-based consulting firm. In addition to her private practice, Connie creates and leads programming to enhance and support the college-going culture in public high schools. She also volunteers for The Matchlighters Scholarship program which connects college counselors and low-income, high-achieving students from around the world, delivering college admissions help to those who need it most. Connie travels extensively, attending professional conferences and visiting college campuses across the United States. She has developed collegial and collaborative relationships with college admissions professionals throughout the nation.
