A former Princeton Review instructor and Capitol Hill legislative aide, Becky now co-runs 'IECs Who Give Back,' a forum for pro bono college counseling best practices.

About Me

Becky Claster began her career teaching for The Princeton Review, helping students prepare for the SAT, LSAT, GMAT, and GRE, while also teaching math, reading, and social studies in New York City and Long Island public schools and earning her Master's in Secondary Education from Adelphi. She later moved to Washington, DC, where she spent over a dozen years as a legislative aide for a senior Member of Congress, plus time at the Corporation for National and Community Service (which runs AmeriCorps) — all while continuing to work directly with students on test prep and admissions guidance.

Becky is deeply committed to service, providing pro bono college counseling through several DC-area community organizations and co-founding "IECs Who Give Back," a forum for consultants to share pro bono best practices. She holds a Certificate in College Counseling from UCLA Extension, is a Professional Member of IECA, and belongs to NACAC, PCACAC, and the Gap Year Association. She's also the founding College Counselor at Templeton Academy and lives in Washington, DC with her husband and three children.
